CURATORIAL STATEMENT
Much like water, our bodies are in constant motion. Composed largely of water, they connect us to a vast "Hypersea" of natural and technological systems, underscoring our shared existence within a planetary web of interdependence. Drawing on Astrida Neimanis’s hydrofeminism, the female body mirrors water’s ceaseless transformations, flowing through life’s phases with strength and adaptability.

Today, we invite you to explore the fluidity of the female body—a journey where transformation and embodiment intertwine, and physicality becomes a narrative of change. Through scars, stretch marks, wrinkles, and modifications, this exhibition presents the female form not as a fixed ideal but as a testament to resilience and evolution. Marks on the skin tell stories of growth, trauma, and renewal, challenging the Western tradition of idealized, static representations of the female form. Like water carving its path through landscapes, the female body continuously reshapes itself, resisting containment and reclaiming its power as an ever-changing, vital force.

Arthur Desmoulin

Arthur is a sculptor and installation artist whose work explores the intersections of organic bodies, mechanical elements, and materiality. Currently studying at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he employs techniques like molding and 3D printing to create fragmented, hybrid forms that question identity and human-environment interactions. Notable projects include Interstices (2024), which explores corporeal connections through plastified corals, and Différentiel (2023), focused on hybridization and identity. Arthur has exhibited at events like Estivales de Sceaux (2024) and was a laureate of the Vedette de Paris project.
